In a report eulogizing a medical missionary who served in China then fled to Taiwan after the communists conquered China, the newspaper writer and editors correctly labeled Taiwan as Taiwan, formerly Formosa, instead of using some propaganda formula to say Taiwan is part of China.
"When Foochow fell to the Communists, Iverson escaped to Formosa, now Taiwan. "
Refreshing, indeed.
